Bond Calculator

Bond Calculations can be used to generate trade ticket information for an actual or hypothetical bond transaction. |

To use the bond calculator, select the Bond Calculator tab located on the side toolbar of the Tracker homepage |

Enter the settlement date in the text box |
 |
Enter the face value of the bond in the Face Amount/Shares text box |
 |
Select either the Price or Yield. If price is selected, enter the bond price in the textbox. If Yield is selected, enter the yield in the textbox |

When finished, click the Calculate button |
 |
A recap of the trade is displayed. If price was entered, Tracker calculates and displays the yield to maturity. If yield was entered, Tracker calculates and displays the bond price |
 |
Tracker calculates and displays the Principal using the face amount and bond price |
 |
Tracker calculates and displays the amount of accrued interest at settlement date |
 |
The Total is the sum of the principal plus accrued interest |
 |
Tracker calculates and displays the duration to maturity |
